Application
Substrate
The surface must be absorbent, smooth and compact, free from dust, sand, lime and oil.
All traces of previous old varnishes or wax have to be removed. The residual moisture content of a concrete substrate cannot exceed 2% in weight, while in case of anhydritic ones maximum allowed is 0,5%. If there is the possibility of an increase of humidity, it is recommended to place a waterproof product (polyethylene) before placing the floor; make sure there is no possible rising dump.
Incoherent or not enough in plane concrete substrates must be levelled with specific product. Too much adsorbent or dusty concrete substrates must be treated with PRIMER C1 or PRIMER TS (see specific technical data sheets).
Application
Stir adhesive before use. Apply TOVCOL TP3 RF homogeneously, on subfloor only, using 8 mm notched trowel. During this operation try to amalgamate possible dust residues. Take care to work on small areas to prevent skin’s formation during laying; if skin is formed remove the adhesive and replace with a fresh one. Lay the wood strips making light pression to promote adhesion.
Note
- Do not glue together the edges of wooden elements.
- Leave a 1cm gap along the perimeter of the room to allow wood’s movement in time.
- For laying of big size wooden floors without T&G or unstable wood like ash or beech is recommended to use reactive adhesives (TOVCOL TP2C, TOVCOL LIGHT, TOVCOL PU2C, TOVCOL PUF1 or MONOSIL).
- It is recommended not to use vinylic adhesives on anhydritic subloors or selflevelling.
Safety Rules
Disposing of waste
